The Power Station was built in two phases during 1932-36. The dials and instruments are made from durable bakelite. Nearly 90 years old, they have stood the test of time and still work perfectly, giving great pleasure to their operators. The war between Ukraine and Russia / energy crisis / geopolitical instability / Brexit – All these highlight the UK’s fragile reliance on functioning, globalised networks, which are under threat.
