The Power Station was built in two phases during 1932-36. The dials and instruments are made from durable bakelite. Nearly 90 years old, they have stood the test of time and still work perfectly, giving great pleasure to their operators. The sluice gates need to be opened and closed with strong arms. Down in the outbuildings the darkness is filled with spiders and grease.
